I’ve started watching The X-Files. I couldn’t watch it when it first came out because it scared me too much, but now I’m fascinated. I believe in many things that others don’t, so it’s fun to see all the crazy stuff portrayed in the show. What resonates with me the most is the character Mulder, who believes in these ideas and always validates the wild stories. He understands that there is more to life than what we can see—he knows the truth is out there. In a similar spirit of belief and validation, I wanted to share a story that my ten-year-old great-nephew told us on Easter.

My great-nephew’s name is Kai. His mother was sharing a story about how she originally wanted to name him Malakai. However, her mother (Kai’s grandmother) convinced her to shorten it to just Kai. She then explained that the name Malakai means “God’s messenger.”

With a serious expression, Kai immediately responded, “Mom, why couldn’t you name me Malakai? Then I could have saved our family as God’s messenger!” He was not joking. I assured him that he could still be a messenger without having the full name.

However, that’s not the story I want to share. Although it is quite adorable and seems to be the beginning of him opening up with the next story.

It was a little while later that he blurted out that we don’t understand how old he really is.  He said he was really born in 1984 (which happens to be the year his mother was born). He said he was born into Babyland in 1984, and what we don’t understand is that you are born in heaven in Babyland as soon as your family (his parents) are born. He was speaking with a lot of authority on this subject.  He said there are a lot of babies there all waiting to be born, and there are Angels there to watch over them and make sure they don’t get hurt. He mentioned something about a slide, that you go down a slide when you are being born, and the angels are there to catch you if something goes wrong and you have to come back.  I asked if there were any grownups in Babyland  and he said no, just babies, and Angels. He mentioned his siblings were there as well.  I asked if his pap-pap was there, his grandfather who died before he was born, and he said “no, I would never know him so I didn’t see him” – at one point he said “maybe I dreamt this” but then he went on to speak, with authority, and told us that dreams mean something.  And also that we remember things about pre-birth when we have a birthday with a 0 in it.  I asked him if I would have more remembrances when I turn 70.  He gave that some thought, but then said, “no, my mind is too old.” At one point, he said, “ok, no more questions!”

One of the amazing things about this kid is that he barely talked for 9 years.  Could barely get a word out of him, and here he was talking with so much authority.  And all I could say to him was “I BELIEVE!”

As I was trying to think of a blog post for this week, I looked back at my journal, where I do my channeled writings, to see if there was something of interest to post. The last question I had asked (and had not yet answered) was this: ”Who or what is this pre-life team mentioned”. I was floored by the realization that my question was answered through Kai. I’m sure there is much more to the pre-life team and what goes on in the in-between, but how coincidental that here is Kai sharing his story on Babyland, a question I asked the Universe.

I believe the message from the Universe this week is to look to our lives for the answers to our questions. Observe how a situation plays out or unfolds, and see if there is a connection to a question that has been on your mind. Alternatively, experiment with testing it. Ask a question and wait to see where in the world the answer comes from. Often times it is a situation that unfolds and plays out the answer.  The answers are not always in a book, they are in the experiences of your lives.

There is so much in the Universe and to the way things work that we don’t remember, or will ever be able to grasp because of the design of the experience, but once in a while, whether it’s watching The X files (or something similar) or listening to our kids, who may still remember, we are reminded about how much there is that we have forgotten.  The truth is out there, and if we pay attention, we just might hear it from a 10-year-old.

PS – I choose not to believe that my mind is too old.  What does he know, he is still a kid after all 😉

xoxo

If you would like to ask a question to the Universe (or to Kai 😉 – I’m kidding) email your question to Lynn Carol.

The book is starting to sell, which is very cool. I wondered how the “U” (Universe) would handle promotion. Although it is a slow start, perhaps it will be steady. I’ll just let it (the Universe) do it’s thing there. To purchase on Amazon, go: here
