I believe I’ve mentioned that I offer readings, haven’t I? Just to clarify, I’m not a fortune teller. What I do is “channel” messages that I believe—and hope—will resonate with the person requesting the reading, addressing what is on their mind at that moment. My goal is to provide guidance, direction, a different perspective, clarity, or validation.

I understand that the readings I do are often typical advice that applies to many people, similar to how one might read their horoscope and then find that it also describes someone else’s situation, and then you’re like “wait a minute…that’s me too!.” We are all human and have similar challenges, although not all at the same time. The bottom line is there is significant overlap in the human experience.  Significant.

Some clients have asked for specific types of readings, such as past life readings. Those are fun, and those do not overlap, although often the advice about them resonates with all of us. But I digress.

What I decided to post this week is from a personal reading I did for a client.  The advice was specific to what this person was feeling at the time, but in re-reading this, I felt like the advice talks to many of us, so I’m posting it on this week’s blog. Here you go:

Emotional issues from your childhood can get buried, deep, very deep, to the point of you not remembering, but nothing stays buried in one’s lifetime.  We choose our life experiences to have.  The good and definitely the “bad” or uncomfortable.  Why do we choose them? For our spiritual growth. That’s how it’s done. We do not grow without the necessary experiences. Always know, always remember, your life experiences, which you have chosen, are for you. Sure, some are not comfortable, but it’s what your soul thought would propel your learning forward.  So, if you find yourself chasing uncomfortable thoughts away, stop, let them come up.  Don’t dismiss them.  Acknowledge them, thank them for their service, and then release them back to the Universe.  If you find you are sad or depressed and can’t quite put your finger on it – allow – allow whatever it is to come up.  These issues take lifetimes to fester, but moments to release.  They are your experiences to release. Personal only to you.  Don’t worry about trying to bring them up and out – allow that to happen on its own – allow grief and allow release.  Allow it and then let it go.

Do not bemoan the fact that you have yet another dark night of the soul to allow up and out.  Be proud of your bravery, the courage to have accepted the experiences you have chosen.  Life on Earth is not for the faint of heart.  It takes courage, patience, bravery, did we mention patience? Be proud, be humbled. Find the joy in the discovery.  Know, once it is up and released, it is gone, it is over.  Find comfort in that.  Consider the pimple.  It builds, it comes to a head, it hurts like hell until you pop it, then the pain is released. You’ve got to let it up, let it come to a head so you can release it…
