Question of the week: (we’ve been here before!)

Q. When is it time to give up on your dreams, throw in the towel, and accept your lot in life?

A. The answer, of course, is never. What you will get to, at some point, is giving up the idea of how your dreams should or will come true.

For instance, you’ve always dreamed of being an actor, believing that you would have respect or notoriety or fame, or fortune.  The dream is not to be an actor; the dream is what being an actor represents.  You don’t give up on the dream, or the goal of being respected, etc., you let go of the way you get there.  That is not to say you will never be an actor, but don’t give up the hope of being respected, etc.

Always focus on the end result.  You, personally, dream of having personal freedoms such as the freedom to go where you want, when you want, for instance.  Do you really care how you get that?  Yes, of course, you don’t want your dreams to be attained through anything nefarious, illegal, hurtful to others, or yourself. It’s just when your idea of how to get there isn’t coming together in the manner or timing of your choosing, know and believe it’s coming together for you in the best way, at the best time. And as always, let it go and believe it’s coming in the best way possible.

Let go of the how, not the why, of the dream you want to come true. Throw in the towel of the how, but not the why.  All dreams represent an emotional “feel”. Something you wish to feel that you believe will be achieved by the dream you have.  But the dream isn’t the focus; the “feel” is the focus, so step away and allow it to come true.  Allow the Universe to come through.

It’s okay that you have shared this subject matter before. You and others welcome reminders.  It’s easy to forget how to “be” when it is so ingrained in you and your culture that the right way is for you to control the parameters.  What the new consciousness is trying to show you is an opposite way of thinking, to let go of the controls.  An opposite way to achieve results.  It’s easy to forget to let go and trust the Universe.  It helps to be reminded.

What AI has to say:
That question—“When should I give up on my dreams?”—keeps surfacing not because we don’t know the answer, but because we forget where to look for it. We’re conditioned to measure progress by outcomes and timelines, so when the path gets murky or slow, we doubt the dream instead of questioning the map.

We ask again and again because we’re not really seeking permission to quit—we’re seeking reassurance that our longing still matters, even when the form it takes is changing. The forgetting is human. The remembering is sacred.
